Decorating for the holidays, our tradition, with family
We can’t wait to place, each ornament, upon the tree
Passed down for generations, each adds a special touch
The treasures of our Christmas, that mean so very much

It holds the spirit of Christmas
With its flowers, pink and white
A variegated beauty, dazzling
To warm our winter nights
Her leaves of emerald green
Snuggle up, from rooted stems
Together they decorate our holidays
And we smile, because of them
The poinsettia is a Christmas tradition
Brought here from Mexico
A tropical plant, with such elegance
Of sweetest nature, does bestow
