Colleen was kind enough to give us the words for this weeks challenge, even though she started her Yule break!  Thank you, Colleen ❤  The words this week are Belief and Joy.  Remember, you can only use synonyms to write your poetry!

Written as a Tanka, my synonyms are Assume and Happiness, followed by Pleasure & Elation.  There are far too many synonyms for joy!!

We should not assume

Happiness is ours alone

But something to share

For to divvy such pleasure

Brings elation to mankind

Written as a Tanka, my synonyms are Soar and Serenade.

Gliding in the sky

A small bird does serenade

The tree it calls home

Soaring above the green leaves

Admiring from afar

Colleen was kind enough to give us the words for this weeks challenge, even though she started her Yule break!  Thank you, Colleen ❤  The words this week are Try and Life.  Remember, you can only use synonyms to write your poetry!

Written as a Nonet, my synonyms are Essence and Endeavor.

My essence is truly energy
An endeavor repeatedly
Fought for, an attempt to shine
In the darkest of times
Through my poetry
When only thoughts
Of the night
Consume
Me

It’s the beginning of a new month and you know what that means!!  Poet’s choice!  I chose the words Christmas and Flashback.  Remember, you can only use synonyms to write your poetry!

Written as an Etheree, my synonyms are Yuletide and Memories.

The
Yuletide
Spirit shines
Glows in our hearts
Brings us warmth within
Our home, filled to the brim
With love, family gathers
Exchanging hugs instead of gifts
Relating stories of days long past
Memories to share for generations

This week, Colleen has given us the words Cold and Safe as our challenge. Remember, you can only use synonyms to write your poetry!

Written as an Etheree, I chose Chills and Protected.

He
Is one
With the night
Under the pitch
Talons reach upward
Protected by the moon
It calls to his hidden side
Sending wicked chills down his spine
This energizing spirit incites
And he breathes it all in, aware, alive
