And when the moon hides the sun

And darkness reigns o’er the lands

It is then we will find inner peace

For the Earth, however briefly, will be silenced

A silence, so deafening, you cannot ignore

Your heart, the only sound, beating aloud

As you inhale the glory, of the heavens above

If you’re watching the eclipse today, please be safe and remember to wear the right eye protection!  Ordinary sunglasses will not work!!  Enjoy the show!   🙂

You shadowed my light, almost on cue

Blocked the rays that shone just so

Seized the moment, however brief

To hide that which I may never know

Eclipsed, I remained in the dark

Fighting my way through the pitch

Turned my face, away from the sight

As you easily captured, bewitched

Could I reclaim the moment I needed

To describe this ethereal sensation

The return of the light, in the daytime sky

To which I pray, is our Heavenly salvation
