Summer blooms, among the trees
Their gentle fragrance lingers
As it wafts in the morning breeze
But you must be extra careful
Don’t get to close to the Hollyhocks
The bees won’t like you snooping
Be prepared for an aftershock
No, not the thorns on the stems
Although, they will prick you, too
You see, honeybees give no warning
And they’ll sting, it’s what they do
But be aware, these bees are the only ones
To die after they leave their stinger
We need to take good care of them
Or our Earth may no longer linger
