He told them to meet him by the old garage
He would teach them a lesson, they’d see
Still, he wondered if any of them would show
Hands in pockets, he made noise, with his keys
Nervously, he waited for the boys to arrive
He thought it would be easy, it was not
And he began to doubt himself, second guess
Was it really all worth it, to be a big shot?
Author’s Note: Parents, please teach your children the importance of kindness to others. Being a bully isn’t cool, nor is it rewarding. As the mom of a child who was bullied, I feel very strongly about it. I did something to stop it, by going through the proper channels, including getting the police involved. Don’t ignore the signs.
