Fancy a place, where visions run free
Aqua blue waters, drained from the sea
Hidden away, in a cave made of stone
Tranquility, laid underground, unknown
Reflective entrances, shadowed in light
Awed in its beauty, a wondrous sight
Echoed in splendor, so peaceful, serene
Shrouded, in glimpses of emerald green

When human hearts, seek to find
The warmth of a smile, a cheerful face
Love and happiness, without a trace
Of hopelessness or mere despair
We, as one, must show we care
By lending hands to those who need
And stopping those who intercede
As brothers and sisters, together we stand
And Peace must reign o’er the lands

They cast away shadows that loom in the night
Spirits of harmony, in mystical flight
Gossamer beings, they mix with the lands
Caressing the treetops, with unseen hands
Creating an ethereal layer of white
Coating the earth, with their peace and their light

Shall I walk outside my door
Unafraid to face the war
Of humans battling one another
Bullets flying, run for cover
Terror plagues this hallowed land
Acts of violence, carefully planned
For what? I have to wonder why.
How many tears must we all cry?
How many others have to die?
Until this carnage, at last does cease
And once again, we can live in peace
Remembering those in Orlando, and around the world, who have fallen to these senseless acts of violence.
