Superstitions guide our way
This thirteenth day of June
As night time falls
Across the sky
We see the Honey Moon

It follows us
Across the heavens
No matter where we walk
A face so eerily watches
But never does it talk

And we watch back
As it rises low
Across a blackened night
This colorless orb
That shines on us
Until the morning light

A sliver of white
Shines in the night
Illuminating the heavens
God’s mighty hand over us

Protecting beyond our comprehension
Letting us know
There is always a brighter side
Always a guiding light

The glow of the moon
The warmth of the sun
A little boy’s laughter
The thrill as he runs

The blowing of wind
The falling of leaves
The blossom of flowers
The budding of trees

An elderly couple
Who walk hand in hand
The sound of the ocean
The feel of the sand

The colors of a rainbow
The grass on the lawn
A sign of new hope
A doe with her fawn

The song of a robin
The coo of a dove
All the bird’s sharing
Their sermon of love

The buzz of a bee
The fresh morning dew
All of God’s splendor
Is waiting for you

 A golden orb
Illuminating the ebony sky
Peeking playfully
Through the branches of
Still barren trees

Allowing the mind
To let mystery unfold
As the full moon beckons
Those who know its call

fantasy-1819044_960_720Sleep to forget
All that is, to remember

Lose yourself in a world
Of clouds and sunshine
Of stars and moon glow
Of faraway and here

Sleep
It escapes you
And finds you
At ill-chosen times

Sleep to remember
All that is, to forget
