Light of moon,

Shine on me

Enraptured,

In your fantasy

Shadowed face,

Mysterious glow

Illuminate,

An open window

Allow the night

To sail inside

As stars,

Together,

Slowly glide

Yes, brighten up

A world of gloom

I feel inside

This empty room

Ethereal moon, in evening sky

Breathes, an everlasting sigh

Brightened, by the setting sun

Drifts among the clouds, as one

Inhaling, ever wondrous sight

Exhaling, orb of midnight light

Waiting for Shadows

Whimsical shadows that play in the light

Taunting and teasing you every night

Hiding in corners, they fill you with dread

You’re starting to wonder, is this in your head?

Or are they just playing, these spirits so dark?

Choosing to haunt, on a whim, on a lark

Then disappearing from view, once again

Wondering if they’ll return and when

Lying awake, with the night, you’re attune

Waiting, for shadows, in the light of the moon
