Be carried by the wind

For it can clear the cobwebs

Woven in your soul

babbling brook
Listen closely, as the water speaks

Its aura of magic, a sweet mystique

For communing with nature, simple, carefree

In a babbling brook that’s beside the old tree

On a small bridge of twigs, set upon stone

This beautiful sight that sets the right tone

Soothing the body, relaxing the mind

Leaving my yesterday’s far, far behind

blackboard, chalk dust, mind, Night Owl Poetry, poems, poetry, questions

Like a piece of blackened slate
Waiting for the caress of chalk
My mind is like a blackboard
Information carefully written
Always looking for answers
To questions skillfully asked
Yet too soon erased
With the sweep of a hand
Leaving only a cloud of dust
