There was a young woman named Bessie

Whose habits were often quite messy

No matter what she ate

From the table or plate

Most wound up all over her dressy

The fruit juice became so angry and fitful

Seems there was no more room, in the crystal

Because the oranges battled, to take their place

But instead, they wound up taking up space

All over the counter, and onto the floor

The fruit juice just couldn’t take anymore

It became so erratic, it had to be distilled

Now it sits in a pitcher, in the fridge, being chilled

Can’t find my keys, can’t find my purse

It’s getting late, it’s getting worse

Toss the papers in the air

Clutter, clutter everywhere

Under tables, on the floor

How did this become a chore?

Need to find someone to help

Where’s the dog and what’s that yelp?

The cat’s asleep upon a pile

I guess I’ll be here for awhile

The telephone’s ringing off the hook

No time to waste, no time to look

I have to leave, I’m out the door

I can’t take this anymore!
