Every bauble on the tree, holds a special memory

Each one we carefully hang, both round and square

It’s the wonder of the year, with loved ones ever near

All these Christmas treasures, we are sure to share

I hear your sounds, in the silence of the night

The wee hours call to me, your song, so right

The one you played incessantly, day after day

The one I played, to comfort me, when you went away

This memory I have of you, sings forever, in my heart

It lets me keep you close to me, now that we’re apart

Until the day, we meet again, your song shall ever play

Upon my broken heart strings, there, is where they’ll stay

She left nothing more than a memory

Behind, in his repose

A golden mask that hid her face

Her skin, the color of a rose

Pale as feathers of a swan

She moved with subtle grace

Across the room, beside his heart

To a deeper, darker place

And then she left without a word

Took his soul with her, you see

Kept hidden deep behind the mask

She remains a mystery
