Let Me

Do not cling to me

For I am not the wall for your vine

Do not hold me so tightly

That I will not be able to sigh

Do not hover over me

Lest your shadow block my sun

Instead, give me space

The air I need to breathe

I am not an object

But an entity, a being of the earth

Let me flow with the breeze

Let me shine in the light

Let me…..be me

Life, an aging tree

Adding branches as we grow

Renewing again

Shades of Blue

Locked inside this fantasy
Of colors changing hue
That fade away too easily
Leaving shades of blue

Block the colors from my mind
Memories of much better times
Reflections in the mirror, you
Reflections that I never knew

Locked outside of brighter days
Emotions I now lack
Feelings turned into malaise
As colors fade to black

To my WordPress Family <3

There’s this thing called life

That just gets in the way

And keeps me from reading

The words that you say

So forgive me if it takes time

To catch up with your “stuff”

You bring light to my world

I can’t thank you enough!

I really do think of all of you as my family.  We share, we care and we encourage.  I can’t think of a better place to be.  ❤
