hands-423794_960_720Crippled and bent, these fingers well spent

Mind always racing, my midnight lament

Words fly like meteors, such a delight

Keyboard click clacks, at the speed of light

Jumbled up sentences, misunderstood

Unraveled meaning, this, my livelihood

Letters, together, form feelings, my soul

Crumpled together, the need to console

My heart, when my hands can no longer feel

One day at a time, I live my life, piecemeal

Here, biding my time

They followed an effervescent star

Not really knowing, how near nor how far

Three wise kings, their journey to find

The reason this light shined, on all of mankind

For in a manager, in Bethlehem, a son

Yes, He was anointed, the blessed one

Born of the virgin, Mary, he became

The one, our Savior, Jesus was his name

They found him, nestled, in a crib of hay

Laid gifts for new born, on this Christmas Day

Rejoice in Him, the season, of joy and of love

As He smiles down upon us, from His kingdom above

Is it the rising sun

That sets my soul on fire

Or your tender touch

That fills my heart’s desire

Anticipation, your lips on mine

A moment lingers, so divine

Wrapped within your arms to stay

For we were meant to be this way
