Carnelian and Carbuncle were lovers

A secret they kept, undercover

Should the ringmaster ever find out

They’d be fired for sure, there’s no doubt

Making the others keep the secret in tact

The circus clowns would, the master, distract

So they could meet under the tent, but, in a hurry

Time was so short, they would have to scurry

Running around, all over the grounds

Trying very hard, not to make any sounds

Entertaining the people, they were a sight to see

Two elephants, under the big top, making whoopee

Seems their secret was out, oh the shame!

And they had only themselves to blame

A lesson to be learned, never trust a painted face

Everyone knows, the clowns run the whole place

Lighting the skies, in the shape of the sun

Satellites, like stars, gathered and hummed

Ready to take over, this planet called Earth

Looking for a reason, for their alien rebirth

Awaiting, the mothership orders them to proceed

Each of them, anxious, to complete their deed

Hurriedly, landing, on fields and mountain tops

Running, grabbing, and returning with their crops

Back on board, where the engines were gunning

Successfully defeating the humans, how cunning

Never revealing to us, this new hidden race

That made a quick exit, back into outer space

What exactly did you bring me, dear?

There is a gent afloat in my beer

He keeps rowing around

Oh, the noise, quite profound

Making bubbles come out from the rear

Said the waiter, please give me a few

Let me find out what I need to do

He came back with a smile

Though he took quite awhile

Said, he comes with the glass, who knew!

Colors, of the rainbow, me
Open wounds, I let you see
Disguised as happy, tis my plight
Ever changing, with the light
Red, the anger, sees my fear
Addresses everything, unclear
Indigo shades, have me crazed
Never ending, obsidian days
Blue, the mood, my heart displays
Orange, deep, my mind transcends
When my emotions arc, a rainbow bends

Sadie dazzled the world, but couldn’t recall

Exactly with what, though the crowds, she’d enthrall

Some kind of doohickey, she would make spin

One by one, they would twirl, from her neck to her shin

Sparkling metal that went around and around

Never did she ever drop one, on the ground

There was only one problem with her great skill

When someone would ask what she did, oh the chill

That ran through her body, she’d feel her face blush

She couldn’t remember, so she’d leave in a rush

Til one day she tripped, hit her head, nincompoop!

Twas then she recalled, her beloved hula hoop

Whirling and twirling, so happy to remember

She continued to shake, from July til September

The others would watch in awe, then with a smile

Sadie tossed her hoops, and went out in style
