Far beyond the river flow
Where light awaits its finding
Imagination begins to grow
With life before me shining

Glistening stones lay side by side
Placed by nature’s loving hands
Step by step they are my guide
As I journey across the lands

As sunlight gleams its mystical ways
Beckoning to me to abide
The water reflects its magical haze
I’m one with the morningtide

And she leads me on a path brand new
Her adventures must surely await me
My dreams come clearly into view
As her calming waters sedate me

The journey of a soul
Is but a glint
Of bursting sunlight
Glimmering, through
An open window

Shrouded by
Darkness, dank and gloomy
Lurking in the shadows
Raising questions
Casting doubt
Second guessing

The flutter of the wind
Through the naked pane
Draws it back, wondering if
Perhaps a simple gust
Of a summers breeze
Will brush it all away

Allowing for the reflection
Of the innermost
Transcendent thoughts
A juncture in life
The now
and the destined…

vintage-1722325_960_720Do not look for me
Hidden in a fort
Beneath icy snow
Still falling carelessly above

Between the daffodils and daisies
Amidst the cool grasses
Of a wakening meadow

Along the dunes on the beach
Betwixt the waves
Crashing on the shore

Encompassed by leaves
Strewn across the ground
In no particular way

In the obvious places
You presume to find
A wandering spirit
I will not be there

Instead look within and find
A life otherwise uncommon
With its own rhythm
A heart’s journey

It is there you may find
Who you are seeking
It is there you will
Find me lost

Lost Among The Living

They walk among us
Shrouded figures in black hooded cloaks
With glistening eyes no one can see
A fierce determination no one can feel

Asking again,
“Is my journey not over
What keeps me here
Someone please answer”
But no one can hear
“God, can you help me
I can only feel fear”

Pleading one last time
Into darkening skies
They lower their heads
And silently cry…

Convicted and cursed
Now broken and ungiving
They are simply shadows
Forever lost among the living
