Is there a place I can wander to,

Where no one else can find me?

A place that I can call my own,

Where chains no longer bind me?

Somewhere I can just relax

Kick back and breathe awhile

Take in subtle calming breezes

Just sit, and write, and smile

I need to find myself again

Though I’m not sure if I can

Perhaps I never really roamed

And this is all God’s plan

So I will take some time to think

And hope for a simple solution

That my life is really what I make of it

And that place, is just an illusion

Painted is this path I stroll

With petals purest blush

I am mesmerized within the light

As I feel its warming touch

Caressing, softly, on my face

I take in what’s around me

A reminder of God’s simple grace

And the beauty that surrounds me

For this is Heaven to my heart

When I walk along this trail

Where I can breathe in all of life

And let my soul exhale

Tattered, careworn, binding now torn

Pages turn yellow as the days quickly pass

Opened, then closed, like a delicate rose

The stories it holds will forever last

Far from commentary, treasured, extraordinary

Men scribed their ways through the times

Speaking of glory, their Savior, his story

Teachings of Heaven, His Father, Divine

Part of the Plan ~ A Mother’s Pain

I wrote this when my daughter, Alyssa, was in the hospital.  It was such a helpless feeling.  One I hope you never have to experience.  I thank God every day that she is okay….He listens, even when you think He’s not…always have faith.

How can I take away your pain?

I watch, as your color begins to drain

Clenching my chest to bring it to me

Taking the horror you feel and setting you free

Praying to God, in Heaven above

Knowing he hears me, embraces with love

Reminding me always, this is part of his plan

As he holds you close, in his loving hands

The skies grew dark
On this somber day
The sunlight diminished
Into clouds of gray
That let the rains
Pour down around
With a thunderous clap
In a deafening sound

“Father, forgive them,
for they know not what they do”

The time had come
His father awaited
God called him home
As the soldiers berated
The faithful that wept
For this man they betrayed
Sacrificed for their sins
On this mournful Friday

pasierbiec-462558_960_720
Removed from the cross
Wrapped in a shroud
They took him away
From the lingering crowd
While a mother wept
For the loss of her son

“It is finished, it is done”

They laid him to rest
In a tomb made of stone
Guarded by sentries
He was never alone
Mary Magdalen kept vigil
Those close heard her pray
For her savior’s return
On this Holy Saturday

jesus-644194_960_720
Yet, day turned to night
And the stone kept its place
As Mary now slept
Stained with tears, on her face

When she finally awakens
She rushes to see
The stone has been moved
The tomb, now empty

The soldiers, bewildered
Still groggy from sleep
Blaming the faithful
For stealing their keep

The crowd no longer fazed
By the threat of the sword
Rejoice in their knowing
Yes! He is the Lord

Mary calls to a man
Who is walking along
Asks if he knows
Where Jesus has gone

She begs him again
She must know His fate
“Where have they taken Him?
Please! Before it’s too late!”

As He turns to face her
She knows, right away
Yes, He is Arisen!
On this Glorious Day

Have a very Blessed Easter!  God bless you all ❤
