This one can go either direction…   😉

Polly Pink, such a dancer supreme

She was the star of every man’s dream

Especially the night

When her tassels took flight

And landed in Bailey’s Irish Cream

What’s that you say, my friend?

You’ll have to come closer, I fear

Something is wrong with my hearing

I seemed to have misplaced my ear

Always happens around this time

Humans have a hankering for me

They buy me, to put into a basket

Wrap me in foil, swell, now I can’t see

Oh, but I know, what’s coming my way

First it’s one ear and then the other

Maybe they’ll forget about me, for today

Oops, there goes the rest of my brother!

She can feel them coming up behind her

Strong as ever, and faster than before

The same desire, to cross the finish line

Legs in motion, the sweat starts to pour

By the time she reaches the end of track

Her laces have easily loosened their grip

But, none back down, no, not in the least

Tight triumphs strengthen their fellowship

We don’t need an elevator
To celebrate our love
Too many people
In between, try to
Push and shove
What we need
Is a little place
(Secret hideaway)
Where we can be
Alone
Today
And every day

In a quaint little coffee shop, across the street

The town folk get together, to have a little treat

Every morning, like clockwork, they arrive at eight

To get their favorites, from a gal, they call her Kate

Now, let me tell you a bit, about this dear ole lady

Some folks say her coffee’s, tasting kind of shady

They claim it has a hint of peach, just a bit fruity

But Kate says no, it can’t be, blaming it on Judy!

The folks suspect, they’re in cahoots, those two

Even the tea was off, smelled like hazelnuts, eew!

Seems the lovely ladies, had been having some fun

Switching up the drinks, before the day was done

They began to laugh, thinking they had pulled a gem

Until the folks, tossed the drinks, right back at them
