This monument, along with a piece of the World Trades Center’s steel, is found at Our Lady of Consolation RC Church, Wayne, NJ. It is a beautiful memorial to the men and women who lost their lives on that horrible day. May we never forget them, nor those who sacrificed for the sake of others, our first responders, whose only instinct was to save… May God bless them and keep them in his loving care.

She rises from the waters
Her ethereal being flows
Billowing silken threads
Shadows in the throes
Of muddied liquid ripples
Chilled, against her skin
A soul, that’s buried far below
Her spirit, deep within
The sands of time, forever
She withstands, her body frail
Searching for the one she loves
Will she, at last, prevail?
She’ll rise again, tomorrow
In hopes, she’ll see him soon
Standing where she saw him last
Beneath the Harvest Moon
