Each day she would steal to the forest
Fold her hands in a silent prayer
Close her eyes, tilt her head up
And hope no one was listening there
The forest held all her secrets
Every day brought another to light
Sylvia’s past always haunted her
She came here, to makes things right
Silently whispering among fallen leaves
For autumn had come early, this time
Verses, only the knowing could hear
Her paradox, written in rhyme

It’s that time of year again, when I start to take weekends off from my blog, not totally, but enough to be able to spend time with my family. So, Backyard Buddies returns for Season 2 🙂

Colors whirl, around and about
As the wind whistles quickly through
Spinning a palette of joyous delight
In a neighborhood garden, or two
Different shapes, some round, some not
Some on a pole, of bamboo
Always thrilling those passing by
With a sight, so beguiling, and true
