He was so very deceptive, in a beguiling way

Romanced the ladies, a little game he would play

Word got around, about this hornswoggling dude

Women would talk, called him names, oh so rude

But he didn’t care, he continued to schmooze

Plates of lobster and steak, and plenty of booze

All he needed to do was say hello, wink, and smile

Flash his Rolex, and gold chains, but after awhile

This no longer worked, and he didn’t know why

Seems the gals had caught on, to this cheating guy

The night that covets salacious dreams

Begs to elicit forbidden scenes

Uncovers the mask of Jezebel ways

Red against pale, in splendid array

You’ll revel in the beauty of emerald eyes

As she lures you to her with an innocent guise

Radiating heat, like a ruby afire

She will never unveil her lubricious desire

Still, she’ll capture your soul with subtle deception

While using her body with wicked intention

Golden orb of daylight shine
Deceptive in your glow
No warmth from brilliance do you bring
Upon the earth below

Crystal prisms from clouds above
Tossed about, one by one, adorn
Swirling with the wind so free
Covering ground in the chill of morn

Flaxen skies peek quietly through
As if they are forbidden
Deceiving hope of warmer days
Behind the clouds, are hidden

Fancy a dance, with the belle of the ball

She’ll twirl you around, so dizzy, you’ll fall

Straight into her charms, a guise, can’t you see?

This lovely young lady, is sheer mystery

You won’t get caught up, by her ribbons and lace

Beguiling, she captures,

With the look on her face

Piercing, her eyes, soften and yet

She still has you tangled, in her pirouette

Delicate beauty, who dances on air

She’s stolen your heart, with nary a care

Good morning!  I’d like to share the synopsis of a novel I’m working on, titled “Devil’s Pond“.  I hope it leaves you wanting more 🙂

magma_by_dukie523a
They were inseparable. Five young friends whose sense of adventure usually got them into trouble. This time was no different. Venturing out into what would turn out to be a stormy night, they headed for an area they were told was off limits. The sand lot was a forbidden place, a place no one spoke of, where no one dared step foot on, until now. Intrigue ruled out over warnings and a game of hide and seek commenced. Until one remained hidden.

As the storm bears down on them, they run, frightened for themselves and their missing friend. Not caring about the consequences that would await them, they quickly gather their parents to explain. But something is wrong. Baffled, the children wonder why Father Tom is the one to arrive first. Why isn’t anyone calling the police? How will their friend ever be found? And what price will they pay for getting too close to Devil’s Pond?
