Amidst the fog and full moon light

A house glows red with demonic delight

Terror reigns from deep within

Fills the air with a piercing din

Spirits roam the darkened grounds

Shrilling, shrieking, sounds abound

Horror shakes the shrouded land

That hides this fortress, once so grand

Haunting, against the black of night

Demons feast on earthly fright

Her Delight – #poetry of a #spider

She spins a perfect web
But is nowhere to be seen
Hides within the shadows
On this night called Halloween

Waiting, ever patiently
For that tasty little treat
She tricks her prey from far away
Their life she does deplete

Like lollipops, so sticky
Her trap, though not as sweet
Lures them in, every time
Such a diabolical feat

They try but never win the fight
Their demise… is her delight
