Willy and Nilly were friends

Together, they said, til the end

Then along came Tilly

All pink nosed and frilly

Now they’re sharing a bole

With no population control

The three of them, all rather silly

Fold me into you, one page into another

Creases of the heart, bending, in a flutter

Echoing the fullness, we feel so deep inside

Beating in a rhythm, we simply must abide

Two verses brought together, we become as one

Forever bound to each other, until our days are done

You peeled away

layers of my heart

Pressed your skin

as one with mine

Made an impression

upon my soul

Left me feeling

quite sublime

Whilst I sit upon this empty bench

My thoughts return to you

I can’t imagine why you left

I don’t know what to do

I can wile away the time of day

Pretend you’re here with me

Oh, how my heart has turned to gray

What made us disagree?

Alas, twas me, who chased you away

Each night, we spent, together

I tried to say goodbye, my love

But you were already gone, forever
