That Perfect Ray of Sunlight
When it Shines upon the Ground
Making the Flowers Smile
Bringing Warmth to your Heart
As you Snuggle up with Spring

The rustle of a tree
As it gently blows free
The hoot of an owl
Before his evening prowl
The flap of a bat’s wings
As the air softly sings
Twilight’s dusk heeds the call
The beautiful sounds of Nightfall

Daytime Falls too Soon
Uncovers the Grace, Alluring in Sight
Across the Hushed Lagoon
Frocked in Feathers, Pure and White
Their Elegance Dances, both Attune
Glide with Beauty through the Night
Underneath the Golden Moon

The Finish Line
30 Monday Mar 2015
I stumble over myself
Arms and legs a twisted mass
Running in all directions
And getting nowhere
Tripping my way through
Over hurdles too high to jump
Making my way toward
That ever elusive finish line
