Who dwells upon the dark side
Concealed in the ebony night
Who is he who turns away
When hiding from the light
Of Heaven’s solar star
Casting radiance on his face
Hoping to wake the man in the moon
Asleep in outer space
“There is no dark side in the moon, really. Matter of fact it’s all dark” – Gerry O’Driscoll

Up Above
25 Saturday Jul 2015
Cosmic moods of fiery night
Swirl in whispered breaths
Envelop me in sweet caress
In your ever infinite depths
Rest upon my shoulders
Let the magic take control
Fly about in vibrant splendor
Guide me to the celestial pole
Taunt me with your voices
Low in a breathless sigh
Send me through this odyssey
With the clouds upon the sky
Take me far into the wonders
Exquisite with everlasting love
Ethereal beings traveling down
From the heavens high above

Elfin queen of lilies
Flora among the tide
Rises to greet the dragon
Ever by her side
There is no rift
Between these two
Together where they dwell
A fire and water fantasy
Caught in each other’s spell

Cast the demons to the light
Wicked in their scorching dances
Eerily moving, shadows glow
The rhythm of their flame romances
As ashes swirl into the sky
With sparks you cannot tame
This fire burns into your soul
You’re taken as their claim
To join them in their holocaust
Ablaze with ruinous sights
The ghosts of malefic evil
Dancing in the heat of night
