In my autumn soul, the colors bleed
With feasting eyes, I silently plead
Let the crimson ignite the passion of day
Light up the skies, in a fiery display
With a golden palette, alive with the sun
Leaves sparkle emerald, until day is done
Orange does capture the last of the light
Ever reflecting, God’s beautiful sight
Immersed in the forest of changing ways
Tis here I wish, to live out my days

She knows what it means
To be left out in the cold
Still, she blossoms warmth

Morgan of BooknVolume, has issued a haiku challenge. Write a haiku a day for one year! I am committing to this challenge for the next YEAR! That’s right, 365 days of Haiku!! 🙂
As Morgan said in her post, a year is a Major commitment, but I’ve never been known to pass up a challenge. I look forward to sharing the seasons ahead, and gratefully thank Morgan for stirring the embers of my soul and igniting the fire in my heart…
