The table, once filled with abundance
Is now empty, things gone, in a flash
Stuffed and sated, we must take a nap
Caused by that notorious turkey crash

Sometimes I lie awake at night
Wondering what tomorrow brings
Silver linings in the clouds
Sunrise made of golden rings
Trees that glisten emerald
Like gems against the sky
Flora dressed in sapphire and ruby
So much grace before my eyes
Silent waters crystal shine
Reflecting off the land
Prismatic shadows dance about
Their colors softly fanned
These beautiful adornments
No bracelet, brooch nor ring
Can ever match the splendor
Mother Nature always brings
Cast your eyes on these stones
Their brilliance sparks a flame
No price is put upon these jewels
Their cost, too grand to name
