Across the fading blades

And yellowing fields

Longing for the warmth

Of sunlight’s gaze

I dream

Only to be awakened

By autumn’s frosty breath

A kiss upon my cheek

A season of color reborn

You are the courage

That dwells in my spirit

Bringing me out of my shell

You are the dawn

That wakens my heart

Capturing me in your spell

You are the darkness

Chasing my fears

My shepherd in the night

You are the one

Held deep in my soul

You are my guiding light

Are you stardust or fairy light
Shining in my fading sight
Glistening softly in the night
Dancing in your midair flight

Or are you just a revelation
Mystical beings, sweet creation
Singing to my imagination
Bringing me to my salvation

Yet, all is never as it seems
Glimmering in celestial beams
Gathering secrets, forbidden schemes
Carrying me to my elusive dreams

Release the Rain

#poetry, Heaven, loved ones, Night Owl Poetry, poems, rain, Release the Rain, tears, windows

A tap against the window pane

Calls my heart to listen

As clouds release the falling rain

Against the window, glistens

Water falls from stars above

To cleanse our mortal woes

Memories of the ones we love

From Heaven’s soul do flow

Falling Leaves

Rooted deep within the earth

Autumn shows her sweet rebirth

Dancing colors in the air

Falling gently without care

She changes for us all to see

How beautiful she can really be

Leaves of red and gold and yellow

Sing to us a song so mellow

Finding peace and tranquility

Among the fallings from the tree
