Music held her in a spell

A sound that brought to life

Forgotten times, of yesterday

Her life, now filled with strife

Each note became her solace

As she played to her despair

For no one knew what she hid

Behind her vacant stare

Sweet autumn scurries

Though portions of time await

Seasons change again

Autumnal crimson

As red as a setting sun

Illumines the night

A touch ignites a shiver

A fiery tingle of flesh

Upon flesh, we breathe

Under the quarter moon

Light reflecting only

In places, unknown

We venture, seeking

We find, and linger

And in the night

We become one

Bessie stuck her head out

She was looking for the farmer

The one who showed up daily

He was really quite the charmer

This shiny pail, he carried

With a smile upon his face

Foot stool waiting patiently

Upon which he took his place

But this day was very different

Poor Bessie, she was bilked!

The farmer chose another cow

Now she cries over her spilt milk
