How could I be this insane?
To attempt such a silly endeavor
As crazy as this might sound to most
I think it sounds quite clever!

In order to achieve this foolishness
One that’s sure to be an adventure
I challenge you to a wild time, ready?
Be sure to hold on to your denture!

Come a bit closer, stand right over here
This is something you won’t want to miss
Plant yourself under this sprig of green
And I’ll plant on you, my biggest kiss!

What do you mean, I’m crazy?
Tis the season of giving, my friend
Looks like I’ll have to find another
Under the mistletoe, to apprehend

Sorry, folks.  I set off two posts that were meant for tomorrow!  I blame the fever and nasty head cold I have.  I hope you’ll come back to visit on Wednesday

Ruffled in red, lips the same hue

She sits at a table, once meant for two

The champagne, now gone, an empty glass

Waiting beside her, this sorrowful lass

Hopes of togetherness, no longer exist

He left her for another, his secret tryst

She lays down her head, as sleep settles in

And dreams of a love, that never has been
