Upon the rocks, she stood and stared

At the lights below, did shimmer

No life was seen, but tattered sails

Before her, grew ever dimmer

A ship that sailed, through many a storm

Barely making it out, they survived

Until now, the last of the crew, no more

Not one of them, there, left alive.

Losing their way, into this reef they came

There, they saw her, a most beautiful sight

Aglow, with the moon, she mesmerized

As the fog filled their minds in the night…

No longer could we see, the rocks all about

We disappeared, off the ship, like a spark

Couldn’t quite make out the sounds above

Except her laughter, ever piercing the dark.
