Upon the rocks, she stood and stared
At the lights below, did shimmer
No life was seen, but tattered sails
Before her, grew ever dimmer
A ship that sailed, through many a storm
Barely making it out, they survived
Until now, the last of the crew, no more
Not one of them, there, left alive.
Losing their way, into this reef they came
There, they saw her, a most beautiful sight
Aglow, with the moon, she mesmerized
As the fog filled their minds in the night…

No longer could we see, the rocks all about
We disappeared, off the ship, like a spark
Couldn’t quite make out the sounds above
Except her laughter, ever piercing the dark.
