I’m drawn to it, too much I’d say
They tell me I was born this way
Yes, here, forever, I shall stay
The dark is all I need
No light to wake my sleepy eyes
The time of day which I despise
Incurious, it will not chastise
No, the dark, will not impede
Hides the truth from those who seek
While I, I turn the other cheek
No reason for all, of me, to critique
The dark knows how I bleed
Many times, how I cry out
I let emotions scream, and shout
You don’t know what this is about!
See, in the dark, my soul is freed.
