Could it be that this was where the marker was hidden? There had to be rows of stones, and no possible way for me to find it, before sunset.
I had a task to complete, and complaining wasn’t going to get it done. I started, row by row, hoping a clue would lead me in the right direction. After several hours, I wasn’t any closer to finding it.
But wait! I saw a glint of what I thought might be it! Yes, I found it! My pink highlighter! Buried in the stones. I bet that brat, Reggie, threw it here.
Authors Note: Michelle called me out on my first day’s proclamation of keeping the writing prompts to 100 words. I don’t want her to do that again, so, here we are, back to 100 words. Unless, of course, I have an enormous amount to say. Then, no promises.

Reggie was a brat to toss your marker in a place like that!
As a writer of 100-word fiction, I know how hard it is to keep the word count down. Start by eliminating “that”, and “there is.” Incomplete sentences work and add drama, too, like “Rows of stones — no way for me to find it before sunset.”

Hi, thanks. I was a bit rushed on this one, and it showed. I’m usually very careful when I do these. Not something I do normally. 🙂

Good. I can lose a phone in a bedroom and then have to have Pamela ring to see where I put it. I have lost count of the number of times that happens 🙂
