It’s that time of year again. On Saturday’s, during the months of June, July and August, I only do one writing/poetic post, and the other is my photography. I call it my “Backyard Buddies” series because that’s where all these beauties visit me. I hope you enjoy!

Lovely capture, Dorinda! I’ve been enjoying the birds here this spring. I have 4 pairs of Orioles visiting my feeder and gobbling up all my grape jelly! 🙂

Thank you, Julie! 🙂 Orioles eat grape jelly? Like Welsh’s? I didn’t know that. Would love to see pictures. I’ve only ever seen one here, and my shot was a bit blurred. 😦

Yep, Whelch’s, they love it! I can’t really get a decent picture of them with my phone. I was out there the other day with my camera, but the lighting was bad. I’ll keep trying! They are beautiful birds! ❤

I’d join you in photographs, Dorinda, but it is one passion I had to give up. I have vision only in one eye (doctors working to save that one). I gave the most of my photo equipment to my oldest daughter, who is a wonder behind a camera, and my EOS to my one of my granddaughters. But, OH, some of the pictures I brought home from trips, Northern U.S., New Zealand, around the house, Oregon Caves, the Oregon Wildlife Center, a weeklong rafting trip along the Yampa River (last free flowing river in the Colorado River system. I so envy you now to be able to take part of your week for photography. Post pics. Please.
