Good morning, friends! Spring is finally making an appearance here! Yay! Grab your tea, iced or hot, make yourselves comfy and let’s talk! 🙂
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: the Mother’s Day service at church was beautiful. Each mom got a beautiful plant to take home. Mine is sitting in the bay window, looking at the backyard. It seems happy there. 🙂
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: it’s Stella weekend at the Duclos’. Lys has overlapping pet sitting jobs, so we get Stella for a sleepover! She’s a snuggle pup and I can’t wait. This was last weekend. We were lazy together. Or maybe, we were scheming. 🙂
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I finally got an appointment with my neurologist but I have to wait until the end of the month. Hopefully, she’ll order some tests to find out what’s going on. It not that I want her to find something, but it’s so frustrating not knowing what’s going on with your own body. I’m sure you can all relate to this at one time or another.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I’ve been pondering. That could be a dangerous thing, but I assure you, this time it’s not. lol I was looking at my stats and was curious about the differences between how many views and how many likes on each post. For example: There are 30 views but only 25 likes. What was it that those five people didn’t care for? This could drive you crazy if you wanted it to. Should I have done this, or that, or not posted at all? Do you ever give this any thought?
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: Bible study on Wednesday night was so much fun. We sang, we prayed, and we laughed, a lot. Just enjoying the fellowship of each other. We have such an incredible group of caring people. i don’t think I’ve ever seen that under one roof before. it warms my heart and comforts my soul.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: speaking of church, these beauties are blooming in the church gardens. It’s a rhododendron! I have never seen one this color before. Mine have always be light purple. Thank goodness hubby has an app on his phone that identifies flora by simply taking a picture of the leaf.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: it’s been very rainy here. We went to a carnival, a local church was having, and of course, it rained. The sky was blue with puffy white clouds and in a matter of 15 minutes, the blue was gone, and gray covered over. We weren’t planning on going on any rides (can you imagine. My speed these days is the Merry-Go-Round, on the bench seat!), but I felt badly for the families there with the kiddies. We managed to get zeppole and Lys got Fried Oreo’s. Neil played a game where he had to shot out a paper star, but didn’t win. But that’s okay by me. We have enough stuffed animals in this house!
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: it’s Fellowship Day at church and I am bringing macaroni salad and chips. Others are making sandwiches and salad. Refreshments are also served. it’s always fun, and I’m happy I can help out. of course, I’ll be making macaroni salad with Stella under my feet. I’m sure she’ll be hoping I drop an elbow or two!
For any Pokemon Go nerds out there, it’s also Community Day. Get ready to score some new Pokemon not to mention a shiny Torchic!! I’m ready! (I get to stroll around my favorite park).
As for the week ahead:
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: my son, Jonathan, celebrates a birthday this week! It’s hard to believe my first born will be 32. He was born before me. 😉
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s time to be on my way. Church is calling, important meeting first, then service and Fellowship! Have a blessed week ahead, my friends! ❤
If we were sipping tea (my favorite is English Breakfast tea), I’d tell you my cataract surgery is this coming Tuesday. I am nervous, anxious, don’t know what the result will be, etc., etc., etc. Still I’m managed to complete a couple of poems so not all is bad on my front. One good friend is taking me and will be with me when I come out. My son is prepared to take on more of caretaking than usual since one eye will be patched and the other one is already affected with macular degeneration to the point of being legally blind. There I go slipping into the bad side again. It’s been raining for the past 3 days, raining again today. The plants and grass love it. Me, not so much except when I get my water bill which should be lessened somewhat. So, OK, I have a bunch of poems. One of my granddaughters (a very talented one) is going through them to see which she can do water color sketches to go along with them. Then I start hunting for either an agent or publisher who might be interested in my work. wish me luck … on both the surgery and the possibility of publishing.

I’m praying that your surgery goes well, and that you find a publisher who truly appreciates your beautiful words. As for the rain, we had a beautiful day today but will be paying for it with bad storms tonight. that’s okay, there’s always a rainbow after the storm. that goes for surgery, too. Be well, my friend. Please let me know, when you can, how you are doing. ❤

Since I am having my cup of tea, I would say it is hard to believe that this week went by so fast, with being busy at the nursing home as the chaplain and visiting someone new all the time, and there are times knowing the right words to say to someone when they ask why me, with all of their suffering from their disease. I am still having my tea, my youngest daughter (and child) is getting ready for her dance recital in two weeks and she has a dress rehearsal this past Friday she will also being graduating from eight grade in under a month. I would also ask to keep me in prayers as I will have my mid-terms in a week, may I do well and bring God glory, as well as my daughter who is chronically ill, she will have a test on her heart on Tuesday, (doctor may but a port in her chest, she now have a pick line in her arms, its for fluids and her chemo) And in spite of all she go through physical she is such and inspiration to her mom here. Since my tea is nearly gone I do need to do some work, and I will stop in for another cup next week.

Your daughters will be in my prayers, one for her dancing, and one that she may find healing strength to get through what comes her way. I am also praying for you, but I know you will do wonderfully. You are the Lord’s servant, and He has shined the light upon you. Study hard, and then give it to God. I’m so happy you stopped by. I look forward to tea next week. ❤
