Good morning, friends! It’s Mother’s Day in the US of A. I’ve always said my greatest accomplishments are my children. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there, even if you’re not in the states. Every day is Mother’s Day! Grab your tea, iced or hot, make yourselves comfy and let’s talk! 🙂
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: this week flew by so quickly. I thought it was me, but I’ve seen others echoing the same thoughts. Is time speeding up, or are we? We’re always so busy, do we ever take the time to just stop and relax? Perhaps we should.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I’m so excited because later today, Alyssa is bringing over one of her pup charges to spend the day. This is Stella the Chihuahua. She is such a sweetheart. And hubby loves her, too. He’s been asking for months now when she’s coming to visit. lol
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: it’s a bit redundant but I’m still not driving. Even the tiniest bit of stretching or turning the wheel and I’m in pain. Consider this. You’re changing an electric switch and accidentally stick the screwdriver into the voltage. That zap is what I feel, constantly. Time to go back to the neurologist and find out if there’s more damage than before. ugh!
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I am really frustrated with WordPress. I don’t understand why they aren’t addressing the problems with pingbacks. Some work, MOST don’t, and for those of us who schedule posts, it’s becoming a real pain in the arse. Maybe if we really raised a racket, they’d hear us. Sadly, I don’t think so.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: you may have noticed I am posting more these days than my usual two during the day and then doing prompt challenges from Fandango, Word of the Day, Daily Word & Ragtag, in the evening. This happens every spring. lol It’s like I bloom along with the flowers. However, inspiration usually comes in spurts, so I’ll continue until my roots run dry. I hope you don’t mind. 🙂
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: as we are celebrating Mother’s Day, Alyssa gave me this beautiful mug. I will be enjoying my tea in it. It’s perfect!! I told my family I wanted nothing except a salt bagel and a cup of coffee. I have everything I need, just feed my belly! lol
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I got to spend Saturday relaxing in the sun. It was simply gorgeous here and I just wanted to soak it all in. I took a picture in the park I love, Sunnybank Park. It’s my favorite go to place, especially when the weather is great. I’ve been there in the rain, too. Sometimes it doesn’t matter if the skies are blue or gray, what matters is the peaceful feeling you get just being there.
Doesn’t this look like a little slice of Heaven on Earth… ❤
As for the week ahead:
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s going to rain through Wednesday, then cloudy and back to the 60’s before warm returns. Rainy days make for writing days, and I’m okay with that.
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s time to be on my way. Church is calling and then home to relax and do nothing. Again, a very Happy Mother’s Day to all who are celebrating today! Have a blessed week ahead! ❤
I’m so sorry you still have a short in one of your body’s wires… I hope you can get that resolved sooner than later! Also, please send some nicer weather our way as it is still rainy and chilly up here. Have a great week!

Unfortunately, there is no resolution, Kevin. My nerves were damaged from my condition. It’s permanent. I’d love to send you nice weather, but it’s raining here, too!!! Enjoy your week, my friend! 🙂

I am sipping on my tea and telling you that I am so sorry to hear that you are still having pain, and letting you know that I will keep you in my prayers. I would also share with you that yesterday I attending my nephew’s First Holy Communion and it was such a warm and lovely day to spend with family, ( this was my sister’s youngest son) Since I am still drinking tea it is a cold and rainy Mother’s Day the temperature is in the low forty’s hard to believe. Since I will be done with my tea soon I will tell you that I would go soon because I need to stop in to the nursing home for a little while where I am a chaplain and say our time together is always short, but looking forward to our tea time next week. Have a Bless Week

I’m so happy to see you, on this rather rainy & dreary Mother’s Day. But you have brightened it for me. How blessed to take part in a celebration of Christ. May your nephew be blessed. As for your journey to the nursing home, I know the seniors and all appreciate your presence and your commitment to the Lord. I look forward to seeing you next week, so we may catch up, once again. Be blessed, my friend ❤
