Well, here we are again, boy time flies when you’re having fun! Grab your tea, iced or hot, and letโs talk! We have much to share and I saved the comfy seat just for you. ๐
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: Sunday was a typical Sunday. Normal chores around the house, and some down time, too. And then it hit. Snow everywhere!! Well, that’s usually how snow hits, right?. Our area got about seven inches. By late Monday morning, it was melting. I managed to get a shot or two of the trees before it all disappeared.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I try to lead a very quiet life. I don’t need fancy things to make me happy. I have hubby and my kids for that. Do you ever wonder why the world is so materialistic? Sort of the old adage, “keeping up with the Jones'” I guess.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: dealing with family members can be quite draining, especially when you’re already running on fumes. It’s hard to distance myself, under the current circumstances, so taking a break from it isn’t an option. I’m going to need a long vacation pretty soon, so if you hear some random knocking on your front door, at some strange hour, it’s probably me. ๐
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I am procrastinating again, and not doing what I should be for Diana’s Ninny Rhino Challenge. BUT, I promise to get to it. Honest, really, what do you mean, shaking your head at me? ๐
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: the packing up of the house has ceased to exist. Did I mention I’m a Pro at Crastination? Look it up in the dictionary. Yep, that’s my picture next to the word. I work better under pressure, so when I know a sure date, then I’ll kick it into gear. Dumb, I know, but tell me you’re not like that too. Looks like the Night Owl may need to get back in the swing of things. ๐
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I have joined a social network called WeMe. So far, I am really enjoying it. There are no ads plastered in front of your face, and you actually SEE your friends in your feed. The whole set up is sweet. If you’re tired of the BS of Facebook and what they’ve been doing to not allow certain posts to be shared, (check out Sally Cronin’s post about it), consider running for the hills and joining us! Here’s my link should anyone like to connect. mewe.com/i/dorindaduclos
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I had a lovely dinner with hubby and Alyssa. I treasure these times together, especially with Lys away so often. She has two new charges this weekend. Then it’s back to Layla and Rosie, and their Mommy, who Lys will also be caring for.

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: here in the states (some, not all), we head into Daylight Savings Time. That means we lose an hour of sleep, but gain an hour of daylight. I hate it. It takes me days to get accustomed to the time charge. They even issue warnings about drowsy drivers! Um, okay, tell me again why we keep switching back and forth? I’m looking forward to the daylight, though. The five PM sunsets where cramping my photography!
As for this week coming up:
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: I will be puppy sitting on Monday. I can’t wait to spend some time with Layla. I don’t have any of my own pets, so I borrow everyone else’s!
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: Church is calling me and I must go. It’s fellowship day! Have a blessed week ahead, my friends!
Bravo!

Since I am sipping my tea right now I would tell you how bless I was today to be able to fill for another Pastor (I am a Pastor myself) while she is on vacation, and how touch I was to hear someone tells me how much they enjoy my sermon and my singing voice. Since I am sipping on my tea right now I would share that I am praying that real soon I would be appointed as a Pastor of my own church, since my passion is ministry for the Lord. Since I still have my tea, I would say I am a planner and I am looking in traveling to another church to Preach and will begin to plan. Since I am sipping on my hot tea I would say it is so wonderful to stop by and chat with you with my cup of tea. ๐ โค โค

I’m so happy we had this time together. I would tell you that your work for the Lord is wonderful, and that I believe he will place you where he believes he needs you most. Perhaps new adventures are in your future. Imagine how many lives you will be able to touch by spreading his word. โค ๐

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, “Here am I, Send Me.” (Isaiah 6:8) His will be done I am the servant of the Lord

I do not procrastinate, Dorinda. I wish I could. I always feel compelled to try and be ahead of the game in case something goes wrong – it is very exhausting sometimes.

Trust me, Robbie, you have the right idea. It’s more exhausting to leave it all for last minute! I really need to change that.

I’m not doing well on my Ninny Rhino either, Dorinda. (And I’m supposed to be setting an example! Ha ha – an example of how not to beat yourself up for failing, I guess.)
And I hate daylight savings time too. Why are we still doing it? Anyway. Have a wonderful week! And Happy Writing!

We all have those days, Diana. It’s not a fail, it’s dealing with life in between writing. Sometimes life overwhelms. You’ll get back to it. I have faith! Have a great week ahead and write!!

Thanks, Debby! When I find the time to take a break, maybe I will. I get too antsy doing nothing. LOL โค

Always a pleasure, Sally. I’m still getting used to it, especially all the single guys whose only contacts are women. LOL I look forward to be slobbered on by Layla. hugs xoxo

I sent a note to the MeWe admin and said how much I liked the site but at 66 and happily married I could do without the trolling men … and that perhaps a word in their terms and conditions about respecting people’s relationship notifications. It would be a pity if it was spoilt by a certain number of men who think that a photograph of them in shorts, socks and sandals is going to get them anywhere….xxxxโฅ

Oh my, you made me laugh. I didnโt even think to contact them. I set one post to public and thatโs all it took. Within an hour I had over a dozen requests. One guy tried twice! ๐คฃ

A for effort… yes I am afraid going public is not a good idea…hugsxx

A shame, really. I’d like to find others with similar likes, but that was ridiculous. xo
