Each day she would steal to the forest
Fold her hands in a silent prayer
Close her eyes, tilt her head up
And hope no one was listening there
The forest held all her secrets
Every day brought another to light
Sylvia’s past always haunted her
She came here, to makes things right
Silently whispering among fallen leaves
For autumn had come early, this time
Verses, only the knowing could hear
Her paradox, written in rhyme

Good morning to you, my friend! I’m doing well, thank you. How are you? No sailing today, or is that just a midnight hobby?
