Hickory and Dickory went to the doc
To find out why Hickory was gaining
Only to discover, a baby on the way
Which started ole Dickory complaining
He never had kiddies in mind, for his age
She, on the other hand, was glowing
Wondering why she had that look on her face
He stood there, confused and unknowing
Hickory went about her days, smiling
Until it was time for the baby to arrive
Dickory was one nervous Nelly
And he, the nurses would have to revive
When at last, the child was born
It was love, at first sight, with a shock!
The baby looked nothing like Dickory
But he sure as hell looked like the doc!

Loved this post so much! So clever are you? Ha! Your ending actually happened to one I know. In fact twice. It was quite a disturbing call for Doc’s daughter after her mother passed and then Doc to get two phone calls and discovering half brothers and sisters from two separate women. So, My Dear Dorinda, it seems your piece is an actual slice of life! LOL!
