An endless sea of soft waves
Flowing over me, caressing
Cooling the fire that burns
Inside of me, I hear the roar
Like the tide, it crashes down
Then, recedes, into the deep
Let me drink of you, taste
The saltiness of your skin
The ebb and flow of desire
It knows no depth, my love
Only that we became one
Two souls united, our tiny grains
Blended, with the sands, sublime

Having a blast, flying through the trees
One of the cutest, that you’ll ever see
His mama can’t catch him, he’s having some fun
He’s much too quick for her, when he runs
He likes to spin, all around, in the jungle
Hanging on vines, he’s all rough and tumble
Always getting into mischief, such trouble, is he
How can anyone resist, this little monkey!

from room to room
Her elegant figure
traced on the walls
from the light
of a street lamp
that shone through
an undraped window
She was like the wind
subtle, unseen
a presence
felt only by
the brush of a breeze
I watched in silence
afraid to disturb
this spirits journey

I couldn’t decide, what to put on my toast
So I grabbed all the jellies, the ones I like most
I layered the jams, into colorful lines
On top of some cream cheese, oh, so divine!
I truly wanted, to add another flavor
But, I ran out of space, so this, I will savor
Bite after bite, the taste is so sweet
Think I’ll make another, I deserve this treat
