Sunlight stains the window
I pour myself some tea
Tears flow from my swollen eyes
What has become of me?
I find myself inside this place
No reason to go outside
Afraid someone will see my pain
And I’ll have to run and hide
Away from the morning monsters
And the afternoon creatures I fear
Nighttime comes calling too quickly
And I find myself rather drear
Behind the glass panes, I surrender
To the despair I keep hidden so well
Although I have tried to escape me
I’m still locked in this living hell

Wow! This is some amazing writing. Dark, dismal and hopeless… Something I knew all too well three years ago.

My Dear Dorinda, You have such a wonderful way of touching my soul and your post here did that and more!!! It was so moving, intimate and heartfelt. Your words and feelings were so touching and masterfully stated!!
I have to laugh because you have encouraged me to “write more” and low and behold it seems that you have single handedly taken to motivating me to do so in this beautiful piece. You left me so many seeds of inspiration and one of them bloomed before I could even “Like” or comment. I am again indebted to you for the blossom you inspired.
I do hope things are well with you, My Dear! I will send you a copy of my piece so you don’t have to wait for me to post it.
Love, Hugs and blessings to You and Yours,
Chuck

Oh this is so very sad to hear dear sweet Dorinda. I’m so sorry life has become so hard. I remember times in my life when I felt exactly the same. I so wish I could do something to help. A long time ago a friend and colleague reminded me that “this to shall pass” and I always tell myself that now as it helps me to remember the truth of it. You are going through one of those dreadul times when you just have to tell yourself to take one step and a time knowing that ultimately a journey of a 1000 miles begins with one step and then another and then another and so on. Words like this seem so trite, but we have to hang on to something when the nightmarish days and nights come. Love and hugs and blessings, N 🙂 ❤ xoxoxoxoxoxo

I’m okay, Natalie, just a bit overwhelmed by everything. I’m one, being pulled in many directions. I’m going one step at a time, and no, it’s not trite. Sometimes we truly need to be reminded. Thank you, my friend xoxo

good I’m glad you’re okay! And I know how it feels to be pulled in many directions. It is a most uncomfortable and frustrating affair. Hang in there and remember one day it will be just a fading memory❣️😘🌹
