Who was standing near his spell?
He left the candle burning
And as far as we can tell
*
He took the things he needed
Kept neatly on the shelf
Turned the page, and chanted
Then disappeared, himself
*
No one knows what happened
Or what he actually did say
They only know the wizard
Never returned, that fateful day

Love this one too, Dorinda. Funny, I am in the process of making a wizard’s staff at the moment to use with my costume for the Renaissance Festival this year. 🙂
