Echoing whispers that shatter the night
Watching and waiting, she stands in the light
His voice in the dark, it grows ever stronger
She wonders if she can take this much longer
She strains to listen, hears the sound of her name
From the voice of another, laying the blame
Disbelief comes, as he is walking away
Disavowing that he ever wandered astray
Denying he knows her, his heart is for another
Yet, she is the one he has called his true lover
His lies, so bold, and so easily spoken
His secret, once she, now tattered and broken

Your poem conveys the feeling of confusion of not understanding that his words were all lies so very well. What a great picture to go with!
