Scatter my thoughts, reminiscent of
Days when the world was airy and light
Setting the story, in the cool of the night
*
When stars gathered round
With a sight, so profound
When my heart would display
Every word, everyday
*
Dazzling light, from up above
Gather my thoughts, for the one I love
Make this energy glow in your sight
Scatter my heart in the warmth of your light

You’re welcome! Question? I’ve seen others call you Mellie. Which do you prefer?

Either. Amanda is one of my pen names … and mellie is my name. I respond to both

Ah, okay, thanks for letting me know 🙂

I realize it can be confusing. I usually tag my works depending on what name it belongs. Ths now for asking. It’s nice to know there are readers out there with the interest 😊

I always like to know who I’m chatting with. I don’t like to just say thanks 🙂

I agree. It’s too impersonal. I mean sometimes when it’s the first connection thanks is all I got…. but I try my hardest to entise conversation. Why display work if you cant discuss it? …right?

With poetry I’ve noticed a few styles now …. rhythm and flow, statemwnts, and longer haiku style poems. May I ask what directs you towards rythem and flow?

I like the sound that comes from it. I hope that the reader can pick up the cadence, my feelings, as I write. I occasionally do free-verse, but not often. I’ve been writing more haiku also, because sometimes a few words are all you need to say a lot 🙂 What inspires you to write?

Honestly I couldnt of said that better myself. Those same reasons. I often play around with free verse. Personally, I prefer rythem and cadence. (Musical background) Honestly, I never understood haikus until RITU explained it them to me. How do you link bloggers in the comments?

You have to be careful with haiku, some are not, they’re actually senryu, and some don’t follow the 5-7-5. And I have no idea how to tag a blogger short of copying and pasting the url LOL I don’t think you can
