Dry, like a desert’s swirling sand
Blowing across the cracking land
Masked behind the grains, a curtain
Of words, no longer am I certain
Finding no inner deep reward
I rattle, like a dried out gourd
Slipping into imagery
People only I can see
Lost among the dunes piled high
Reflecting on a life gone by
Forever, I wander, to find my way
Visions, thoughts, begin to fray
Into ragged pieces left behind
Cords that can no longer bind
Search again to find the verse
That rids me of this author’s curse

I rattle, like a dried out gourd” Love it!

This was good for me today, I’m feeling it too, the words have grown still. But the pictures are still there! 😊

Yes, for me too!! It’s nice to know I’m not alone, although I hope it passes quickly, for both of us!! 🙂
