Looking out the window
Staring at the sun
And thinking softly to myself
Am I the only one
Who dreams of faraway places
Untouched by human greed
A land that is unblemished
One we dare not cede
Perhaps I’m just a dreamer
Perhaps I hope for more
Than chemicals and GMO’s
Found in the grocery store
Perhaps we can accomplish
This very daunting task
Of cleaning up the Earth we love
Without an oxygen mask
Yes, looking out the window
There’s no sun left in the sky
And as a tear rolls down my cheek
I turn my face and cry….
