Try to always be, the harbinger of good news

Life is much too fragile, to never see its value

Dedicate yourself, to helping others, don’t abuse

Let hope spring eternal, in everything you do

Word of the Day – Dedicate
FOWC with Fandango – Value
Ragtag Daily Prompt – Spring
Daily Word Prompt – Harbinger

Everywhere she looked,
The design drove her crazy

Paisley this and paisley that,
Why, even on a daisy!

She had to figure out,
How to block it from her mind

Of course, she could toss it,
But that would be unkind

She knew he loved his paisley,
Though she didn’t, not a smidgeon

Enough was enough already,
These things had come unbidden

So gathering them together,
Took them to Good Will

But the folks all knew
Those things belonged to Bill

Back home she took them,
Seems it didn’t go as planned

Fell asleep, woke up the next day,
To discover on her hand

The design she abhorred, painted,
All the way up her arm

She yelled for him so loudly,
She set off the alarm!

Waiting for an explanation,
He looked at her, rather plainly

You were the only thing left,
That wasn’t partly paisley

In the library, a sacred book and talisman, hidden

An amicable keeper sat, with his bottle of scotch

Each night he’d weasel his way, into the forbidden

His mea culpa was spilling it, thus, leaving a splotch

Word of the Day – Mea culpa
FOWC with Fandango – Amicable
Ragtag Daily Prompt – Weasel
Daily Word Prompt – Talisman

She counts them equally, on both hands

Her strands of silken threads, surround

The widow, they call her, cross the land

She’ll wrap you up, until you are bound

Capturing men like flies, in her web

She seductively chooses, which one

Little by little, their life starts to ebb

Til they are through, her job, now done

Still, no one has been able to stop this

She keeps doing devilish deeds, yes sir

It happens so fast, without even a kiss

Sated, until her next meal does occur

Like an impish thief, in the middle of the night

Nightmares steal what dreams are made of

No matter how we try, to release this fright

Tis anticipation of what we are most afraid of

Word of the Day – Impish
FOWC with Fandango – Release
