Among the twists and awkward turns

There is a still bridge that never burns

In life, this simple passage awaits

For your return, through an open gate

That never closes, never seals

You journey over, plans revealed

Taking on adventures, far and wide

Leading you, from deep inside

It carries you away, and lets you roam

Till once again, it brings you home

Reaching out to guide you

Through passages and paths

Evergreens and barren limbs

In shades of stark, contrast

On trails of mixed emotions

We must travel, quite unknown

Take heed to our surroundings

Know we never are alone

Continue on these journeys

The ones held deep inside

Where we let our hearts forever reign

And our souls forever bide

Asleep, I find myself afloat

My soul searching, reaching

I am paralyzed by my own sight

Wondering why, beseeching

Perhaps I need a lesson taught

And He has come to me, teaching

So I listen to these peaceful words

To the calming voice, preaching

Quieting my inner being

With the words I need to hear

Knowing I will find my way

As long as I keep Him near

Comforting the fears and sorrows

As they slowly disappear

He will always be with me

His message now is clear

The sound of the rain falling
Upon a roof made of tin
Awakens the sleeping spirit
Invites the wanderer within

To heed the gentle calling
Of Heaven’s cleansing tears
To wash away the grime of day
To seek, to find, so near

Tranquility surrounding
Peace and light abounding
To find your soul
And make you whole
The echoes of life resounding

Yesterday’s madness fades away

Nighttime fills the light of day

Guiding beacons shine from above

Drawing me deeper into your love

Restoring the faith in the life I have known

Knowing I’ll never again be alone

No more shall I seek, no more shall I roam

My soul has forever found its home
