Hot nights, on satin sheets
Lover’s burn, in a fiery heat
Two bodies, now become as one
A night of passion, skillfully spun
As fingers trace and lips explore
Touching, tasting, wanting more
Til rapture finds its sweet release
He and she, harmonic peace

The quiet, shattered
Like a million pieces of glass
Scattered across the naked tile
And yet, we heard nothing;
Shards of noise created no sounds
Above the roar of beating hearts
Yours, mine, ours,
Together, against the sharp edges
We tore each other apart,
Sliced each other, to the very core,
Until only the sound
Of sated breath
Repaired the silence

Perhaps what’s here before my eyes
Is just another artful guise
Shall I journey beyond the gate
Through bars of iron to seal my fate
Gargoyles guard the path before me
What lies inside must now restore me
Another passage to get me through
The final road that leads to you
And yet I second guess my chances
As the moon beyond the door romances
Reminding me to hasten pace
To see your kind and handsome face
I run to thee, my love divine
Our footsteps echo, intertwined
We step into a world brand new
You with me and me with you

Cauldron of fire, Flames of the night
Quench my desire, With earthly delight
Feel my power, Burn through your skin
Tame the beast, Kept hidden within
Draw me close, Release the heat
Impassioned throes, A love indiscreet
Sparks ignite a wanton heart, Caught in my fiery blast
Together as one we fall apart, Smoldering, sated at last
