I want to
Disappear
Blend in
With the drops of rain
Landing
Upon a flower’s petal
Slowly
Making my way
Down the stem,
Into the ground
Traveling
Under the earth
Finding
My way
Into the river
Flowing
Into the ocean
Disappearing
In the waves

Serene waters flow

Over ridges, cascading

Quietly downstream

Reflections are still

Yet, the midnight sun shimmers

Where the waters sleep

Drifting away

With no clear direction

Mind wandering aimlessly

Along with the wafting breeze

Warm with enticement

Caressing ever so softly

Fingers gliding in cool waters

Swirling endlessly about

Rippling a path to nowhere
