Asleep in the bed of an oyster’s chateau

The jewel of the ocean in illuminating glow

Pink against white against gray, simply grand

Mother of Pearl holds the sea in her hand

Dreams of the beautiful treasure she’ll grow

With one grain of sand and the waters below

Lined with nacre, layer upon layer

Mother of Pearl, iridescent purveyor

Friday Fantasy ~ Endless Chains

Unfinished tasks running stagnant

Body falling apart in fragments

Suffering fate no longer humane

Dragging about life’s endless chain

Forged with the sins of man and his mind

Ego inflated, dilated, unkind

Donning a hollow, negative mask

Evil has conquered this one final task

While laughing at you with nary a care

He’s trapped you inside these bonds that you wear

For they will continue to burden and drain

And rust as you pull against agonizing pain

No escape can you find as your ego deflates

Trying again to be human, too little, too late

Neptune’s Muse

Contentment fills her restless mind

Slowly she steps, without care

Unafraid of the man who is leading her blind

Neptune awaits for her there

She colors his realm with a gentle caress

As he heaves a watery sigh

Her exquisiteness he must now possess

Underneath his liquid sky

Salacia, beautiful queen, sublime

He has fallen for her ruse

Quenched forever in perfect rhyme

She is one with her god, his muse

Beauty shines, unhidden, bright

Opalescent ribbons light

Wings of white against the blue

Colors ever changing hue

Reflecting of the moon at night

Ethereal grace on an evening flight
